For parents looking to continue or supplement their child's existing drum education.
The last year has certainly changed the way we do business, and that very much includes drum education. Although many schools and private teaching facilities are starting to reopen in some places, there are still many areas where these services are still unavailable. And with Covid-19 being an ongoing and fluid situation, parents are still looking for ways to keep their children engaged and moving forward with their drumming.
At Drum Ambition, we are fully aware of the need to support parents, keep children motivated, and make sure their efforts to date are not wasted or put on hold. If your child has been taking lessons at school or with a private teacher, it's a good idea to browse our curriculum, particularly the beats and fills and music notation contents. You can then decide if Drum Ambition is a logical next step while waiting to return to your teacher.
Keeping the dialogue open with your existing teacher.
As an advocate for drum teachers, our first recommendation is that parents continue to discuss the current situation with their child's teacher. If your local teaching studio is still closed, it's a good idea to see if there is any online offering available that could continue the relationship, ensure consistency, and support the teacher at the same time. Make no mistake; music teachers are still facing huge challenges right now. Provided you are willing to accept these sessions' possible limitations; this could be a good option for you.
